OUR MISSION FOR THE TAYLOR ARGENT LEGACY FOUNDATION

The Taylor Argent Legacy Foundation is a Fund set up to financially aid and assists those less fortunate in the Province of Alberta, the opportunity to seek out addiction treatment, care and counseling through professional private facilities, where time is a factor is saving one's life. This foundation was born out of the need for immediate care and intervention where an individual's health is at serious risk due to addiction and abuse. The Fund offers hope to those that are on long waiting lists for Government funded treatment programs, the ability to get into private funded treatment programs immediately. The sole beneficiaries of the Fund will be those in need of addiction recovery and or treatment that reside in Alberta.

The foundation will not only raise addiction awareness to the general public through its fundraising activities with speakers and videos but will also help to prevent the breakdown of the family unit, help to reduce both divorce and abuse, have an immediate impact on the reduction of addiction related crimes and statistics but more than anything, it has been set up to make a difference, pay it forward and possibly save lives.

The board of directors will interview, recommend and identify potential clients or candidates as to the seriousness, urgency, dedication and commitment involved. A person will be approved by the majority vote of the directors. Upon approval the board will subsidize the costs of private care facility or treatment center. Depending on the clients ability to pay the Foundation will decide whether to fund up to 100% of the treatments costs. Our wish is that clients will be able to fund a portion of their own treatment no matter how small to ensure that all clients must understand that they not only have an investment in their health, welfare and future but one of a monetary nature to help ensure commitment as well. Upon confirmation of receipt of the client's monetary commitment, funds would be released in the foundations name to prospective center or program.

This foundation is set up as an equal opportunity fund. This Foundation has been set up to save lives that cannot otherwise be saved due to the demands put on government facilities. This Foundation has been out of necessity in the building a bridge to close the gap on a small window of opportunity to save a life and give hope where none had existed.
